I hope you and your family are well and this Lenten season is bringing you to a deeper relationship with Our Lord!
At right under Documents, you will find a links for the 2017-18 Religious Education registration forms, which have been updated and revised. This year there will be only two options for catechesis: Academic Year Program and Home Study Program. Click here for more details about each program option.
Please print, complete and mail your signed registration form and relevant supplemental forms to St. Gregory the Great Religious Ed Program, 4680 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690 as soon as possible, but certainly by the applicable deadline.
The Summer Program is being eliminated due to changes in Diocesan requirements that sacramental preparation be two years (For First Communion it is 1st and 2nd grade, and for Confirmation it is the 7th and 8th grade) as well as the inclusion of the Benziger Family Life program into the curriculum.
The Academic Year Program begins the week of September 11 and ends the week of May 21st. Please return the registration form for each child and payment by June 1st.
The Home Study Program is conducted by knowledgeable and qualified parents at home and is intended for families with extenuating circumstances. This option requires acceptance into the program and includes 6 mandatory Family Catechesis Sundays. Please be sure to sign, date and return the Commitment Form and application with your registration form for each child and payment by June 1st. Acceptance into this program is on an individual basis. As mentioned above this program will not be available for 1st, 2nd, 7th and 8th grade students, and will include the Benziger Family Life program.
Please note that tuition must be paid in full before your child can be placed in a class.
Please keep in mind that Family Catechesis is a mandatory part of the Home Study Program. Those families who foresee difficulty attending the 6 Family Catechesis Sundays should not apply and should consider, instead, the Academic Year Program. To ensure the integrity of the program, families who miss 2 or more Family Catechesis Sundays will not be re-admitted into the Home Study Program.
Parent volunteers are a vital part of the Religious Education program. Please prayerfully consider volunteering in some way to help catechize the children of St. Gregory the Great Parish. Your help is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to call me to discuss assisting us with this program.
