The Church of St. Gregory the Great presents
Beginning February 7, 2019Do you understand the meaning behind the parts of the Mass? Based on the revised translation of the Mass, A Biblical Walk Through the Mass takes participants on an exciting tour of the Liturgy as it explores the biblical roots of the words and gestures we experience at Mass and explains their profound significance. See, perhaps for the first time, why we say what we say and do what we do every week at Mass.
Your Group Will:- Learn the biblical background to the words, prayers, and gestures of the Liturgy, all in the context of the revised Mass translation

A Biblical Walk Through the Mass, a five-part, video-based program, will meet once a week for 5 weeks at St. Gregory the Great. You will receive a study set that includes a student workbook with some reading assignments, study questions and notes for the presentations, and Dr. Edward Sri’s book “A Biblical Walk through the Mass”. The classes will include comprehensive video teaching and commentary by Dr. Edward Sri and small group discussions. All registrants will have free online access to all course videos.
From February 7, 2019 through March 7, 2019, A Biblical Walk Through the Mass is offered on- Thursdays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the Evangelization Center
- Thursdays from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm in the Evangelization Center
- Online via your own device (no group discussions)

After you submit the online registration form:

- After you create or login to your account, click on "Join a Study" and input St. Gregory's zip code 08690.
- Click on "St. Gregory the Great Church" on the left side of the screen under Study Locations and then click on "More Information" button under the list of studies offered.

A Biblical Walk Through Mass Bible Study Q&A
St. Gregory the Great parish is offering A Biblical Walk Through the Mass bible study starting in February 2019. Below are frequently asked questions about the program.
How many Bible study sessions will there be?
There will be 2 on-site courses running concurrently:- Thursdays at 9:30 AM-11:30 AM in the Evangelization Center starting February 7, 2019 and
- Thursdays at 7:30 PM-9:30 PM in the Evangelization Center also starting February 7, 2019.
If I am signed up for the Thursday onsite course and miss a session, how can I make it up?
For those with an email account, whether you are taking the on-site or online course, you will have access to all the videos online. Therefore, you can make up the missed classes online.
What do I need to take the course?
Course fees will cover your study materials and online access. You also need a Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition of the Bible is recommended but you can use any Catholic Bible.
How much time will I need to invest?
Each weekly on-site class is 2 hours long. It is best if you can prepare for each class - about 90 minutes of preparation time is needed each week.

Who does the bible teachings?
The video portion of the course is done by Jeff Cavins. Jeff is recognized internationally as an exciting public speaker who has a deep knowledge of scripture and who communicates his zeal with clarity and enthusiasm.
How are the on-site sessions organized?
After the initial session, sessions follow this pattern:- Welcome and opening prayer
- Small group discussion of assigned questions and readings
- Viewing of study DVD
- Closing prayer
